Controlling High Def Insight Box From Remote Location
I posted yesterday but I think I confused some people. I am wondering if I can get a HDMI splitter and run a second cable to my TV in the basement and then get some sort of remote that can send a signal upstairs to change channels on my Insight HD/DVR box. I seem to remember years ago there was a remote that allowed you to control other items in the house from possibly the basement via a radio signal that went to a box attached to whatever you wanted to control. I am just trying to find away to keep from paying Insight any more money than I am now. Seems like every other month they jack up either the cable or phone or internet service and I can't keep putting out extra cash.
