Wanted to see what Comcast (or other cable suppliers) are charging for cable cards?
I was thinking about getting a Tivo and getting 2 cable cards installed. I called Comcast to ask about prices and the guy quoted me $8/card. Either he was mis-informed, or prices have gone up massively in the last couple years. What are others paying for cablecards in their area?

Which from Comcast's own website should be universal. **Edit- Nevermind, they covered their butts by the statement at the bottom; "Disclaimer: Regulated Prices quoted above may not apply in all markets. Please call 1-800-COMCAST to learn more about Regulated Prices for your area." But my statement about about Chicago prices is accurate.***** http://www.comcast.com/customers/faq...s=cable%20card

With the new series 3 tivo, you only need 1 card, a multistream card.
