Default Does anyone know why i am not getting HD channels on my Time Warner Cable service?

well i ordered TWC from Manhattan. It was my only choice in my apartment building and DirecTV is too expensive. still waiting for FIOS. The dude came in today and installed the HD box and everything with HDMI. i am not getting Syfy channel in HD, plus those other good channels history HD, natgeo HD etc. Does anyone know why??? Or do i have to pay more for those other channels. This sucks.

One quick, dumb question. I don't know about TWC, but on my Comcast cable, I tune to channels in the 700's for HD. ie, channel 2 is SD and channel 702 is the HD version of channel 2. Is TWC like that also?

TWC has several "Tier" packages containing a list of channels which come with the "Tier" and the channels in each "Tier" package sometimes overlap into several "Tier" packages. One "Tier" is included with their digital cable package you can choose whichever "Tier" package you wish to have however to get more than one "Tier" package is an additional cost.
The channels you are not getting are probably in a "Tier" package you are not receiving check to see what "Tier" package you have and the channels it includes and either select a different free "Tier" package or pay to receive other additional "Tier" packages.

it should tell you when you tune to a channel if you are supposed to get that channel, if it says anything else, like one moment please or just a blank screen then you have a signal issue, call your provider
