Default How can I connect my Sony BDP-S350 blu-ray player to the internet?

How can I do this without using powerline adaptors? Can I connect one end of an ethernet cable to the blu-ray and the other end to a cable internet modem? Or does the blu-ray get wifi signals? Because I have a linksys Wireless G WRT5462VI model.
The cable modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB5101 Series Model.

You can just run the Ethernet cable from your router (most wireles have Ethernet ports also) directly to the area where the BD player is. You can then use a Ethernet switch to connect multiple devices where your HT equipment is so they can all get the connection ability. At some point, I think most devices used (i.e. HDTVs, BD players, etc etc) will need a Ethernet connection for updates so taking the time now to run the cabling means you will be ready and solve the current problem for BD player firmware connections & BD-Live ability too.

Hope this helps & welcome to the forum!

I am using a Linksys WGA600N ethernet to wireless adapter but direct ethernet cable connection works great and is less expensive if you have your player in a location that makes that an option. I haven't had any issues with this adapter at all, I have been very happy with it. I use a ZyXel wireless router, P330W but I would think your Linksys router will work at least as well.
