The Oppo is doing the decoding. My Denon cannot decode the HD formats.

This is WHY I think it is simply that the Oppo is sending out a higher voltage signal compared to the BD35 myself which gives a louder volume level.

It could be that I just "wanted " to hear an improvment. Most likey it is what PFC said in that the Oppo is just sending a more amplified signal to the Denon than what the D35 was sending.

Thanks for those pictures. I am going to pull the trigger on one of those. But I have to wait until it is released to the public! That's OK. Hopefully I can get one in June or July.
