Me too, and I paid $260. I just think about all the enjoyment I had using it during the several weeks before prices dropped...can't put a price on that! The suspense was killing me anyway, I couldn't keep waiting.

Default Horizontal Studder a Motion doubling

My reciever only has 5.1 hooked up to it so it instantly went to DTS and it sounded awesome. The Samsung 46A650 worked flawlessly with the 1080P and everything is great. I haven't installed any firmware for it yet but I'll get around to it when I need to.

Now for a comment.

I needed an HDMI cable so I picked up a 3' cable for 20 bucks in a blue package, gold plated, blah blah blah. The guy tried to sell me a cable that cost nearly as much as the player.

He proceeded to physically ARGUE with me that monster is superior product and that I'm costing myself precious megabytes in communication speed. I attempted to explain to him what I learned here about digital working or not working and drop offs but he wasn't having it.

I finally said to him "they teach you all that about monster here right?" and he said "Yeah" I said "DiD they also teach you their markup on monster is something like 100%?" he said "have a good day sir and good luck with everything."

I couldn't believe the ferver that a non commissioned salesman was putting up for a product he obviously didn't understand.

He even told me "It's his job to educate the customers" I wanted to say "How can you educate me on what you clearly don't know."
Are you having any issues with your 35 and Samung doing any kind of horizontal studder or any motion trails of movement at all. I'm supposed to have service this week on my 46A650 but I' want to make sure it really is the tv and not the player. I'm having simiar issues with cable but there are always issues with Comcast. Please let me know if you have had any of the problems. Thanks

I only watched the one movie but it looked beautiful with no stutters or anything. I put a couple lord of the rings type movies in just to see what the upconversion did and that was nice also. No issues at all.

I watched the battle scene in The Two Towers and it looked wonderful. I saw no screen issues at all. I mean it was in letterbox even with upconversion but it was still fine.

The OP paid $199.99. I just picked mine up and the price was $214.99 (the receipt lists a $15 discount off of the $229.99 price)

I wouldn't have expected them to sell all over the place for 12/01 without haggling unless Best Buy has a policy that they must sell the same item to everyone at each store for the same price on that day and I would assume that someone else walked in and got their blu-ray player for 214.99 using a competetor ad and the same thing probably happened to the OP....

Strange way of doing business, but I saved an extra $15...
I just called BB where I am supposed to pick my BD35 up and they said the price was $249.99 in the store on Monday and today.

Did you buy it online for store pickup and when you picked it up they gave you the discount, or did you just walk into the store and buy it at that price?

I may just cancel it as I hate someone else getting a better deal from the same store and not getting it myself. Call me stubborn, but it just doesn't seem fair to me.

Thanks for any more info you can give.

How's this for timing? I switched my Netflixs preference to Blu-Ray Sunday(11/30) and made Chron of Narnia:Prince Caspian my #1 pick. The Prince arrived yesterday (12/2) in Blu-Ray and my Panny BD-35 (from Amazon) is on the local FedEx truck to be delivered as I type. Hot Damn it great when things go according to plan! Hope I haven't cused myself. LOL

Congrats!

It is always nice when this stuff falls inline like that.

Enjoy your player and Netflix.

I was doing the footwork for a friend at work that just bought a Panny 50" 85U plasma- with the 35K BD player @ BB. My advice was- don't let them snow you on buying an expensive HDMI cable. $50 was their bottom feeder HDMI cable. (they tried to)

You want a better deal? Here's the low cost leader- http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=181-725
