Panasonic BD55K Blu Ray player question
Hi,
I just read this review on Amazon, concerning the new Panasonic Blu Ray player. Here is the link to the Amazon review  I can't post the link, but you can find it on Amazon)He seems to infer that you can send uncompressed audio over the optical jack to your receiver since the player handles the decoding. My Integra DTR-7 A/V Reciever has the usually optical/coax inputs. I also have the capability of inputing 5.1 via analog jacks. Would I be able to have the Panasonic player decode the DTS-MA audio and have it sent to my reciever over the optical/coax input? Or will I have to wire it up to the Analog inputs? I hope my question makes sense. Thank you |

It is not possible to decode master audio or TrueHD and send it over optical/coax. You will have to use the 5.1 analog inputs.
