Don't compare MSRP and selling price. The Sony S350 & the Samsung 1500 still have an MSRP of $399 but they are selling at a $100 discount. If the Olevia also got a $100 discount off MSRP it would be $199.

I was at Target yesterday and this player was on the shelf. It didn't look like much and wasn't connected. The price was $229.

What little information I can find about this player and the Memorex MVBD-2510 which should be very similar, or the same player exactly, make me think it performs really well. Does anybody here have it to comment?

I hope this thread isn't considered too old, but this week Target is offering an OLEVIA Blu-Ray Player (BDP-110) at $189.99. It LOOKS like it has all the bells and whistles on the back. And it IS in stock.

Has anyone bought one?
Do any owners have comments pro or con?

I must say, the pricing is getting enticing even for the very limited supply of software content in Blu-Ray (to my tastes anyway.)

I received one for Christmas(Target). The load up time was horrendous and I could never get Analog outs to work right. I exchanged it for the Sony S350. Very happy with it.

I picked up one of these players on x-mas eve, at target for $149.00
It is for my bedroom. It loads up fast and i haven't had any problems at all. Don't get me wrong it not my BDP - S550 but for $149.00 and for my bedroom it works.

Thanks guys,

(I guess I missed that Xmas sale by a bit...at $149 I'd have snapped one up before asking questions!)

brown,
I assume the "analog outs" are the two RCA jacks marked Left and Right audio rather than the sextette of audio outputs next to them? That's really what I need for my Pro-Logic antique receiver.

Analog outs are the "sextette" you speak of. If your AVR has analog ins you could connect them that way. I am not an expert on any of this stuff. If you give your receiver model, some of the knowledgable people here could tell you how to set it up.
