Blu ray vs hd dvd blu ray a winner

I was in a hi def store an I did my own comparison of hi def vs blu ray there was 2 identical sony xbr 3 40 an 46 in screens 1080p
! set had a blu ray disc from samsung blu ray the other had a hd dvd player from panasonic. Although 720 p looks very nice on the hd dvd player the blu ray is much sharper, deeper colors an better blacks.

All color tint brightness an contrast where identical

My opinion blu ray is the clear winner because the blu ray dvd player can also play your standard dvd of the past an they are 480 interlace and it is a much better picture.

The closest thing I get from this post is that the Samsung BD player is better than the Panasonic BD player (if it was a BD player but might have beed a SD DVD player). The problem with that is everyone says the Panasonic BD player is better than the Samsung BD player which is why I think the Panasonic player was a SD DVD player used to show the BD improvement.

This is a pretty useless thread though since I THINK the only thing the OP got RIGHT was that the Samsung player was a BD player.

I love when a new person joins and makesa big claim like say one format is better then the other or you know some big question which noones sure off. I imediatley start looking for something to prove it's BS and nothing makes me happier then when they slip up and get caught in the first post.
