Calm down. Go look up Monogoloid in the dictionary. There is more than one definition.

Also, doesn't your wife refer to herself as a Mongol or a Mongolian?

I'm lost. Your sense of humor is obviously superior to mine.

What the hell is wrong with you? This is a BLU-RAY section. No one wants to hear this crap. Do us a favor and leave and never come back.

Default being neutral

Actually I'm neutral in this format war, and neither have I been to Mongolia or know a person from there...;-)
Here's my opinion, if anyone cares, that is: When people are referring to HD players being cheaper...have they noticed, that the cheap versions usually contain the simple hdmi, not the new broader hdmi 1.3, while even a ps3 has the hdmi 1.3 already, and most of the now out tv-sets support that new standard?
Have they noticed, that even on a double sided HD, there is only room for a 30 gb, unlike 50 on blu-ray?

I don't understand a production studio that announces a day after the new sales numbers are out (apparently in favour for blu-ray) to change to HD.
This makes it so much harder for the consumer to decide what to buy for x-mas - and thats not good for neither business (studios or tv shops) So point is: I guess, I'll wait for the HD- blu ray combination player from Samsung, that will come out later this year.

You do not need a HDMI 1.3 connection for audio. In fact, when the discs are encoded in Advanced Mode, you cannot send the bitstream to a receiver to do the decoding because the mixing needs to be done in the player. HDMI 1.3 is a red herring just like 1080i output was/is.

It will become clearer in a couple of weeks I think.

Everybody wants to hear. I was only refering to exclusive Blu-Ray titles available in HD DVD via the UK. So quiet please.

1) People want cheaper players with basic HDMI, so they can run them on there cheaper HDTV's.

2) It's not double sided, its Dual-Layer 15GB x 2 = 30GB for HD DVD & 25GB x 3 = 50GB for Blu-Ray. Capasity means JACK Shit, HD DVD is better or equal to Blu-Ray in video & audio quality, and yet HD DVD does it on a smaller disc

3) Thank goodness for Paramount & Dreamworks going HD DVD exclusive, you can blame Sony for paying off several studios including Disney, Lian Gate, & FOX for this move. Let's hope that Warner Bros. wakes up & goes HD DVD exclusive also.

Before you correct others, you may want to check your math and also you may want to add IMO when you are stating your opinion verses facts...Believe me, I have learned my lesson with that, in this forum!

That information belongs in the HD DVD forum or disc forum (which you'll find it's already in various threads in both) there is no need to post it in the Blu Ray section.

I'm sure you'd love a big post in the HD DVD forum showing off all the Blu Ray exclusive titles that you CAN'T buy on HD DVD in the HD DVD forum just to ensure members are informed

Yes I would, and also you can change the 3 to a 2 (2 x 25GB = 50GB)

You're an idiot. Nobody wants to hear what you have to say. Now go back to the hole you crawled out of. Thanks.

We have dictionaries to help people (Like U) that lack the kind of vocabulary (Idiot? LOL) needed to sustain a proper & non-adolescent conversation.
