Using flash drive with blu ray player
I'm using Sony BDP-S590 blu ray player. It is capable of playing mkv files and already tested it out burning to a dvd. Unfortunately most mkv files in 1080P are too large to burn to a dvd. Eventually, I plan to purchase an external hard drive. But for now, I figured a 32Gb usb flash drive would be a quick, cheap solution. I've never used them before. Does it matter which one I get? Do some work better than others playing high def video files?
Any input is greatly appreciated! |

I have used PNY drives with my PS3 and Xbox 360 for the last 2 years. They have been no trouble with video files. And are onsale at best buy this week( ending today).

I have this player. You will most likely get an onscreen message saying the flash drive is not supported. It's BS, the drive will work anyway. Just though I would let you know so you didn't get disappointed if it popped up.
