This is a very cute kids movie about a rich chihuahua who gets kidnapped during a visit to Mexico. And it's adventures after being kidnapped. All the animals in the movie talk, and the special effects used to achieve it are very well done.

It has a nice storyline about valuing one's heritage, respecting others for their particular qualities other than wealth, with a little kid level intrigue thrown in to keep the "tension" going.

The picture quality of the Mexican towns is a very nice travel poster for the country. We get to see some very pretty places. And the audio is nicely augmented with lots of song snippits to accompany the movie action.

It's just a kid's movie, for kids. And on that level I gave it a 4. Pleasant, happy little movie, cute and sweet.

I didn't think I would like this movie. I watched it, and loved it.
