My wife and I felt the same way. We thought it was right up there with Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. as far as the story went. Now if Pixar would just get Nemo and Monsters onto BD I'd be happy because I never bought them on SD DVD the first time around.

Nemo was great upconverted. A CGI movie I'd really like to see on BD is Robots.
I'd have to say it was the best upconverted CGI that I saw.

Anyway, I confess I haven't gotten to watch the BR version yet, so I cannot comment on the quality of the actual BR itself, but as far as the MOVIE is concerned, it TRULY is one of Disney's finest IMO.

When I first heard of this movie way back when, the concept definately did NOT appeal to me. I thought that WAL-e looked like that other little robot guy (whose name I can't think of now) from back in the 80's(?). However, my interest really peaked after I read a lenghty review in the LA Times about it. The reviewer was VERY taken with the film, and made several comparisons to some other older movies, including a favorite oldie of mine: Silent Running...

Well, that was enough to get me into the theatre, but I was still skeptical.

Honestly, I was really blown away with this movie. I would consider this to be a Disney "masterwork". IMO, basically EVERYTHING that PIXAR does is great, but this is beyond great & has something to offer viewers of ALL AGES.

Seriously, I really can't imagine anyone NOT loving this movie. If nothing else, at LEAST rent it, and give it an honest chance. I'm willing to bet it will be one of the best investments you will make, and that's NOT because of the @#$%**!! stock market either!!!

This is very possibly the finest animated film ever made.

It makes me wonder since Pixar keeps topping themselves, how good will the next one be?

This is a must have for any collection!
All very true.

I watched this one the other night and all I can say is...WOW! I believe the best movie PQ-wise I have ever seen. It bumps my beloved Planet Earth (on HD-DVD) out of my number 1 spot for reference material.
The movie was well done and surprisingly captivating despite the lack of dialogue for alot of the film. Original storyline and flawless visuals put this on at
PQ 5/5
AQ5/5

I hate to say this but I hated the movie and wasn't impressed with the PQ. AQ was great though. It was one of the worst Pixar movies I have seen.

You have got to be joking right? Do you need glasses or contacts and forgot to wear them when this was playing?

I have LITTLE interest in this story. Pixar's heavy handed political messages annoy me. Yeah we get it, humans destroy the earth, I'll try and recycle a bit more.

But I'm dying to pop this baby in to see the PQ on my set. So I think I'm gonna bump it to 2nd place in my netflix Queue just after Tomb of the Dragon Emperer.

How true! Everything was going so well until the humans showed up. I was just about to say "this was the best animated film I've seen yet" until the pillsburry dough boys showed up.

with all of these positive comments about Wall-E on Blu-ray, i think i'll just purchase a copy for myself tomorrow. the only Pixar film i have one Blu-ray thus far is Ratatouille. i saw Wall-E already and just want to witness the quality on Blu.

Nope, I just wasn't impressed with it, maybe its because I lost interest in the movie about 10 minutes in.
