I am genuinely excited to see the PQ/AQ of this movie. The story to me was good, not quite great. But my son loves anything robot based and had to have the Wall-E toy 2 weeks before we even saw the movie. He's 17. LOL! Just kidding, he's 5.
I about fell out of my chair when I read 17.

I just checked Amazon and the 2 Disc is $24.49 and the 3 Disc (Digital Copy) is $24.99 so if you can find a way to add .51 or .01 cents to your total shipping is free.

Thumbs up I agree completely!!

I picked this up @ WAL(E)-mart Tuesday. They had the 3 disk version for the same price as the TWO disk version, at least in the particular store I was in. I wouldn't have even known, but they had a rep from Disney there, and he told me that they had mis-marked them & weren't going to re-price the 3 disk copies till the next day, so I scooped it up for under $30!!

Anyway, I confess I haven't gotten to watch the BR version yet, so I cannot comment on the quality of the actual BR itself, but as far as the MOVIE is concerned, it TRULY is one of Disney's finest IMO.

When I first heard of this movie way back when, the concept definately did NOT appeal to me. I thought that WAL-e looked like that other little robot guy (whose name I can't think of now) from back in the 80's(?). However, my interest really peaked after I read a lenghty review in the LA Times about it. The reviewer was VERY taken with the film, and made several comparisons to some other older movies, including a favorite oldie of mine: Silent Running...

Well, that was enough to get me into the theatre, but I was still skeptical.

Honestly, I was really blown away with this movie. I would consider this to be a Disney "masterwork". IMO, basically EVERYTHING that PIXAR does is great, but this is beyond great & has something to offer viewers of ALL AGES.

Seriously, I really can't imagine anyone NOT loving this movie. If nothing else, at LEAST rent it, and give it an honest chance. I'm willing to bet it will be one of the best investments you will make, and that's NOT because of the @#$%**!! stock market either!!!

I just bought the 2 disc version because I felt I had no need for the digital copy on disc 3.

I LOVED this movie!! That is, until the Human characters showed up. The third act really tanked for me. The Robots were so beautifully done, the humans seemed like terrible caricatures.

I didnt read through the post, but I wanted to give my two cents in about this movie.
Personally, I loved the movie and thought it was amazing how the movie told its story mostly through visuals. I find that to be the art of movie storytelling and something that has been lost in today's era of film making.

As far as the visual quality, I thought it was up there, but I wouldnt say it is as good as it gets. After watching Cars today, I felt that Cars held a higher standard of image quality, but that may just be because of its richer color tones and action. but if i were given an option to show one or the other as reference, I would choose cars over wall-e as a reference.

The earth is under constant 'smog' in the movie, so these parts are on purpose not as clear as when they are in space on the ship. Imo Wall-E is more detailed than Cars, which makes it a reference disc for animation on Blu.

It's the best 3D-Pop I've ever seen on my TV.

This is a true must own BD.

Should be mandatory or else the cops come take away your HDMI and component cables.

Of course, they would leave the S-Video

Honestly, I never dreamed that any animated film could be better then Ratatouille or Finding Nemo, but after seeing this movie on my Panasonic 1080p plasma, I was absolutely blown away by both the picture quality and audio quality and the story line.

This is very possibly the finest animated film ever made.

It makes me wonder since Pixar keeps topping themselves, how good will the next one be?

This is a must have for any collection!

"ever made...so far"

I saw bolt and thought that was better than Wall-E in terms of story line. Picture Quality looked good to me and will be on my must buy list once it comes out on blu-ray.

Jaw on Floor. Just watched it on BD today. Hands down the best BD PQ I've seen so far. Absolutely amazing.

The clarity in the scenes on the axiom are just beautiful.

Check out the robot repair scene.

That's one of my favorites.

I bought the 2 disc at Best Buy yesterday for 26.99. We watched it tonight and thought the PQ was unbelievable. This is our first CGI movie on BD though so we have nothing else to compare it to. The story line was good. The wife liked everything about the movie.
