Fan render of what War Machine will look like based on the MKII. It'll surely be different, but the gray color, mini gun and rocket launcher are all War Machine design staples. Heavier armor too, but it's no Hulkbuster!!

Favreau has said that after 48 hours of release, Iron Mna is the all time Blu ray sales title.

I'm a bit confused...can we slow down a little so we're both on the same page? Is "War Machine" one of the villains? Does Rhodes become him? What "Hulkbuster"? Does Iron Man fight Hulk at one point in the comic's run?

Really? Has it outsold Casino Royale, which I think held the title up until now?

They also say this was the film that brought back Robert Drunkewry Jr.'s career...

Rhodes is War Machine. That's the gray- armored up suit. He and Iron man are buddies, off and on.
Yes, Stark builds a Hulkbuster suit to go after the big guy in the comics.
I don't know the sales numbers, I just know what Favreau said.

Okay...so he becomes a bit of a "villain" in future stories?

Why though? Did Hulk become a bad guy during a certain run of the books?

Rhodes is usually tight with Stark, but sometimes get's sideways because of Stark's ethics.
In the Hulkbuster Comic storyline , the Hulk is the intelligent Hulk (Banner is aware and controls the Hulk)and he is tired of Starks weapons productions (Stark still produces lots of weapons in the comics) and polluting plants, so he decides to just destroy them. Stark objects and chaos ensues.

Okay Fellas (and Ladies)...just wanted to add a couple of comments to my review of Iron Man; many of this will just be trivial to most of you, but you deserve to know all the aspects when someone promises a "review" for you...

First, the disc is devoid of any trailers, except for a Paramount "High Definition" intro of clips of their BD titles that doesn't really look that jaw-dropping in "1080p" (if that's what these clips were mastered in for this "teaser"; it's debatable...)...I know this doesn't mean a whole lot, but figured I'd report on it anyway...

I know there has been a huge debate about the interactive "BD Live" features that seem to be having problems on this title, and there's a thread already devoted to this below this one, but I didn't utilize any of these features, and just watched the film, which I do for every title. Keeping that in mind, there was not one single glitch on my Panasonic DMP-BD10A when playing back Iron Man -- no audio dropouts, no video freezes or problems, etc. The English Dolby TrueHD track decoded just fine from my player into PCM and then off to my receiver, which played this aggressive mix back. The ONLY "issue" I observed, as I mentioned in the review, was some grain and noise that ran in the background of many scenes -- and this issue was observed by other reviewers who screened the disc online.

The disc loaded pretty damn fast -- where most Disney and Fox titles take a year and a day to load upon insertion of the disc (even on "fast" players like the Panasonics) depending on the title, Iron Man came up pretty quick...upon inserting the feature disc, the HDMI handshake ensues (if you're connected that way) and as you wait for that, the Iron Man "power center" graphic comes onscreen and lasts for a few seconds...then the Paramount high def teaser...and then really, before you know it, the main menu pops up (remember, there are no trailers) and the menu itself is pretty cool, with a spinning Iron Man suit image with the selections for Audio, Features, Scenes, etc. all listed to the left.

If there's anything else I can think of, I'll get back and add 'em...

Thanks for the review

Just finished watching the movie and all three of my subs were having a great time.

Just to clarify Ironman wasn't "kind of outpowered". He was outpowered.

{Geek mode on}
The chest piece he was using, he made in a cave and only produced 3 gigajoules.
His upgraded chest piece, which the villian stole, produced 8 gigajoules. {Geek mode off}

I know...and I'm saying it's always heartbreaking in these super hero films watching this transpire; like when Spidey gets his ass handed to him by the Goblin in the first Spider-Man, or when Daredevil gets thrown around by Kingpin...but, it's always refreshing to see the hero "regain strength and power" and defeat the villain at the end.

Okay...it was still tough to watch the "hero" being outpowered.

BTW what's up with your name and sub head...are you from Nevada or Missouri?
