Don't forget Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

Looking forward to seeing Iron Man over the weekend. As it was my favorite of this past summer.

Did you see this in my review, asking pretty much the exact same thing?

You all know the connection between the end of The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, right?

Yes. I hinted at an Avengers project in my review but deleted it for spoiler purposes.

Hey...you got it! Thanks for reading. Hope it didn't spoil too much of it for ya before you buy it...have you seen it theatrically? If you've already seen it the review will just give you a primer on what you should be expecting quality-wise from the disc; it exhibits some video noise and a twitchy grain in some scenes, but overall it's solid. The audio is pretty aggressive.

Thanks so much for clearing this up, F91; like I had said, I wasn't too big of a fan of the books -- interesting facts though that the origin story took place in Asia not the Middle East, and that Iron Monger was his business rival, not his right hand man in his own Stark Industries...do you have any more information about the Iron Monger character...was it originally conceived as an iron suited adversary or something else? Do you know what other villians Stark/Iron Man is supposed to face in future films based on the comics?

Again, thanks for all the Iron Man info!

Iron Monger pretty much stole the plans to one of Stark's suits and then beefed it up. At one point, I think he took over Stark Industries too. The guys name was Obadiah Stane, I think just like Bridges character. Iron Man's main nemesis is the Mandarin. The guy with the rings. It would be cool if the Giant dragon, Fin Fan Foom made an appearance, as he is controlled by the Mandarin. Here's the wiki entry for Iron Monger, guess I should have read that first!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Monger

I was a little wrong about Foom, no relation , Comics wise, to the Mandarin-

Yes -- this is JUST like Bridges' character and the plotline in the film...he steals the plans for Stark's suit and makes it huge and more powerful...but where the Obadiah character was Tony's business "partner" and right hand man in the film, this was different from the comic line, huh?

Thanks a lot for the info.

Do you think Favereau or someone else will do a sequel and bring any of these other villians in?

I'm pretty certain the those terrorists who captured Stark were the Mandarins guys. It would stand to reason that he would be next.

The only part of the review I disagreed with was the part about the final battle scene, it was well done as far as I was concerned and it didn't remind me of the Transformers movie, all though I guess I could see some people seeing the connection, but I didn't see it at all (I guess I don't think that way).

I really enjoyed the movie from start to finish, it was brilliantly filmed and paced very well, a good mix of action and humor also.

Thank's Peter, another great review. I think i will give the movie a rent first as i'm not a great Robert Downey Jr fan.

RDJ is brilliant in this film. The whole cast is very good actually.

Well that's your opinion and everyone is entitled to one; to me, it just felt kind of "tacked on" and cartoonish like two "Transformers," as I said, duking it out...however, that said, how else, I suppose, are you supposed to stage two guys in super-armor punching each other around? Seems like it was the only thing Favreau could do...
