I won't buy a Samsung BD player for the same reasons. This history of issues they still do not seem to have resolved makes them a very poor choice for a BD player still IMO.

HD Goofnut

Well, I know a lot of members on HDD have the 1500 that they picked up for $198 on BF last year. I wonder if they are having the same problem with their players. It seems that the most reliable Samsung player is their UP5000 combo player. We know that the 1000, 1200, 1400, and 1500 have had their share of problems. Is the newest line any better?

That's what I keep trying to tell people. It wasn't a Bond flick, it was just another action movie.

I was very disappointed in it, hopefully the next one will be more Bond-like, otherwise I'm going to stop watching these movies all together

We have to wait and see if the newest Samsung BD players are a lot better and closer to being as good as the Panasonic & Sony BD players. Given their past history now, I will not be a guinea pig myself unless it is a new model for under $100.00.

I thought the video was crisper than you mentioned. It had high frequency details to my eyes. I was about to puke when I saw a close-up of Judy Dench's face on my 118" screen. Both her and Daniel Craig have some pretty rough faces.
