Ok I am just going to come out and say it. YOUR A COMPLETE AND UTTER MORON.

1. How do you know it was done in racism? Do you know it for a fact? No you don't. Just because a white person was picked doesn't mean a damn thing.

2. Yes racism does exist and I don't deny this. However I do know that when you blatantly come out and say things like this it only continues the whole racism issue. Because your just saying this because this is what you believe. You have no tangible evidence that it was done in the name of racism.

3. I am not saying that this wasn't done in the name of racism. What I am saying is this. Again you don't know for sure. So really you cannot say it. If you knew for sure then yes you could say it, but you don't know for sure.

What it comes down to is YOU DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. So you best just STFU and go back into your hiding hole and or under your rock.

It seems like you are personally affected by this choice of a white man over black man issue in this movie. How does it affect you? Please explain in detail how it affects you. Because I would like to know. What it seems like is, you are just a bitter person and think that if a black man or woman played a role before then they should stick with it.

What you should have said was, I wonder why they didn't pick a black man to portray this role. Not to come out and blatantly state that it was done in racism.

I do know one thing. You wont ever change your mind. You will never think maybe I made a mistake in my thinking about this. Your so pig headed and that is what is going to keep you from realizing that you don't know anything about why or why they didn't pick a black man for the role.

I on the other hand don't know why they didn't pick a black man for the role and thusly I cannot say it was done in the name of racism. However I don't deny that it is a possibility. But again I can't say it for sure like you can. Because I don't know the director or producer personally so I cannot ask them.

What's up with the digital copy that came with it? I bought it yesterday and opened it to find the digital copy. I then gave it a co-worker to take home and watch who has a standard dvd player.

He came back today with it and said it wouldn't play in his standard dvd player. Am I missing something?

Opra Winfrey has one of the highest net worths in the world! How about Sammy davis jr.? And he was huge DURING the truley racist times!

You speak of racist times? Why is there a network called BET (black entertainment television)? Isnt that reverse racisim? What would happen if there were a network called WET? That would cause a huge uproar!!!

Actually, I would agree there is programming, sit-coms for example, that could benefit from more racially balanced casting. It would certainly reflect real life more accurately and perhaps give folks more identity with the show.

But given all that, the DK switcheroo is hardly an example of racism unless you can show a history of similar trend from the same director, or casting staff.

Maybe the cartoonist was biased, and the original character should have been black. You can carry this to any extreme you want. And probably will.
There is no denial when folks are speaking their minds, and I can't speak for everyone else but I think that is mostly the case here.
Most of us are here to share a common interest, and not promote the negative aspects and inequities of society we are all too aware of on a daily basis.

Unfortunately JimBobJones has a difficult time understanding the reasoning of everyone's post here, and the only way to "Cut him off", is by reporting his posting and perhaps PFC5 will advise him of the possibitiy of his being banned. I'm tired of his constant racial implications on numerous threads, there is no place for that here. I have reported him and I think more of you guys should follow suit IMHO!

Kind of mixed on the banning thing myself. He is entitled to his opinion, number 1.
Number 2, complaining about the issue or the poster only adds more fuel to fire.
(I take my own responsibility for that too..)
I don't agree on several counts, but I don't find Bob has that much impact one way or another.
But if most feel that way, then fine, I certainly support what the majority wants.
