I'm pretty sure everyone knows this movie is about a 16 year old girl who gets pregnant and decides to find a couple to raise her baby as she's not old enough to raise it herself.

It's got some nice original touches with a little animation for introduction of time changes and original music adds an interesting element to the story. The story itself is not very original, but is handled with contemporary attitudes and humor. Lot's of humor which is funny and a very casual acceptance of the situation by all involved gives this movie a breezy, puff of pleasant air feeling.

It's a nice little hour and a half of casual, easy viewing.

Yes, I agree...mostly. It is a hour and a half of easy viewing for most people, by that I mean most won't find it too heavy.

I both liked it and disliked it at the same time, I'm certain everyone has experienced that at some point watching films.

The 16 year old and her boyfriend reminded me of my wife and I to a degree. We where both in high school and only 17 when she got pregnant and had our son when she was 18, he is now 21, (22 in July). My wife was also very cool about the whole thing, and was quite alternative to the "social code" of the day, I guess we both where...the 80's !

I guess we still are...we're together, ha ha !

However, I was disappointed they went down the same old stereotypical road with Jason Bateman & Jennifer Garners characters, blah. It doesn't help that I do not like Garner as an actress, but please. Without spoiling too much for anyone, did not everyone in the theatre see that coming, christ !

I'd likely only change the rating you gave the actual movie to a 3 instead of a 4. Otherwise the kids and parent characters where awesome. I liked it on a sentimental level, (my wife and I both got choked up at times remembering our own experience and how overwhelming it can seem) so it made up for the shortcomings, IMO.

Nice review though clearday.
