This is absolutely uncalled for and borders on just plain rude. My Blu-ray reviews for this site are not "12-page essays"...they actually portray a great deal of detail and time for the purpose of explaining feelings on a film's substance, and then the disc's technical presentations...it's amazing how one person can take the hour or so to do a complete, in-depth review/analysis and its purpose is shattered by an individual or two that feel the need to discredit it because they don't see "the need" for such a structure on this site.

And let me guess it's your picture next to the word pity in the dictionary. You never think you do anything wrong Peter and that's your problem. Not to mention your porno avatars don't make you look like some "professional" reviewer as you call yourself.

As for the latest posts using the new format, I agree that Mattie_B's is a great example. The synopsis section, by definition, should be a brief summary or condensed statement. That's exactly what Mattie_B gave us.

A good synopsis should, in my opinion, give the reader an overview of what the movie is going to be about. It should entice the reader to want to watch it, or avoid it if it's not their cup of tea. It should not be a play-by-play that just leaves out one or two plot twists; yet, drops so many hints about them, it spoils any surprise.

But, what do I know, I got my journalism degree from eBay.

Rather than just criticize someone's review why do you not write a review yourself and show us how it should be done.

We need to get off these attacking posts. If you do not like someone's review style, then simply do not read it!!!! I am getting sick and tired of all the BD about this subject. The rules say do not attack another poster but many seem to think that they are not breaking the rules when they do this here.

Everyone needs to play nice and follow the rules or I will have to take action I do not want to take.

Taking a page from RESCUE? Grow up and be your own person -- what's absolutely PITIFUL is how you call my in depth reviews "DOING SOMETHING WRONG" and that I have a problem because of it...are you for REAL?

I agree HD, and I certainly hope that if this site does ever have a pro review area (as PC5 suggests it will) that it doesn't allow that sort of garbage.

Actually, I'd be more than happy to oblige if it was one of my aspirations. Unfortunately, it's not. Luckily for me though, it's not a prerequisite for posting personal opinions.
