dvd player to play avi files?

so my philips 42ta648bx tv's usb port does not support video formats! :eek:

what cheap dvd player can i get that has a usb port that will support avi files. i dont really care about the quality of the dvd player itself. i just want something cheap that will play my files with no problem. too bad because i have an older toshiba 5 disc dvd player that works just beautifully.

Have you checked Philips DVP3140. It would meet your requirement is also cheap as well. The price of the player is about $60.
