Only the left side of the picture plays whether it be HD DVD ,Blu-ray or STD DVD. I have an HDCP compliant monitor, and well as an NVidia GeForce 8400 GS. This program is pretty nice all until this inability. Please help....Thanks

Need a lot more information. What is the native resolution for your monitor. Is this just your pc monitor or an HDTV monitor - dual or single output? What type of connection are you using? What settings are you using in the Nvidia control panel?

It's a Dell 20 inch monitor ,whose native resolution is 1620,so I guess I'll get better than 720p but not quite 1080p (1920). The card has three outputs,VGA ,DVI (connection to the Dell)and S-Video. It's not hooked up to my 55 inch Soiny HDTV yet,but I will after this issue is resolved. The NVidia settings are 1680 by 1050 (highest resolution) ,screen refresh is at 60 Hz,

How is it connected, VGA or DVI?

Not familiar with Total Media. Does it have a player for video or does it use Media Player? If it doesn't use Media Player have you tried that or anything else for playback? I use BeyondTV and it has it's own video size settings - does Total Media have any? Have you tried other resolutions in the Nvidia control panel?

Also, there's a Total Media thread on AVS forum that may be helpful since everyone there is using the program.

it's connected via DVI,and I'll check AVS if there is no resolution here, Thanks for all your replies.. One more question, since it's connected thru DVI,there is a remaining VGA connection that may be used with a converter cable (VGA to HDMI). Could I get a High Def signal to my HDTV using this method??? Thanks to all for your replies again...

You can use the other connection to your HDTV and the resolution depends on what your TV accepts. VGA is capable of outputting 10080 HD. Your card is only doing the 1680 because of the monitor. I have an 8600GT in my bedroom HTPC and I'm not happy with it - can't get it to fit the screen properly with either component or HDMI - it overscans and won't adjust, have to use VGA to a 32" LCD to get the screen formatted properly using the 1360x768 resolution. I use ATI cards in my other HTPC and they work a lot better. I understand the newer Nvidia cards are better with HDTV, but the older ones weren't good with it.

If you go to AVS, you need to give more information as I already asked, like is the problem just with Arcsoft or all video?

Good luck.

They do make a VGA to DVI converter cable for DVI connections that have both the digital and analog connections. Those cables won't work on DVI connections that are digital only. What other HD connections do you have on your HDTV?

Do you have the nVIDIA control panel installed? In it there should be the ability to resize the screen output for your HDTV. As far as I know the nVIDIA control panel will work with all of the 7x and higher cards. I use it with my 7600GS and 8500GT cards. It should be part of the latest downloads from nVIDIA.

I don't believe it's the TMT3 as I played an HD (supposedly) file of Dark Blue and it looked great and was centered correctly. I wondered after seeing this if it depends on whether it's a disk (BluRay,HD DVD,or STD DVD) as this was what I had a problem to begin with. More and more files I tried with the problem worked and play beautifully Maybe I need to examine my Blu Ray burner(GGW H20L) I've already posted this problem on AVS and am waiting for a reply....

I'm using it with Win 7 and the control panel isn't as good as it was with XP - there is no way to adjust the overscan. It's just not handling 7 well. In fact, even in XP with component out I couldn't get it to fit the screen properly without cutting off the taskbar and side icons. I'm much more in tune with ATI and still prefer them for theater - the CCC is really a lot better than Nvidia's software (now if they would smooth their drivers out).
