Dish remote no longer works.

My Dish remote (UHF 8.0 Pro) no longer works my 811. Very strange. Tried everything imaginable (yes, including batteries) and resecuring the UHF antenna, etc.
Forturnately, my Harmony 688 does the job just fine. Just seems strange the original would fail. The light works, etc.

Sounds like it may have lost the remotes address.Do you know how to correct this?If not just post and I can give you a step by step.That would be odd,me telling you how to do something. :D

Bring up System Info on the screen and press the 'RECORD' button?
did not work either.... :confused:

Just making sure BUT you did hold in the SAT button til it flashed and then the # indicated as the address before you pushed record....right? :p

NO ! I will try that! Right now I am avoiding turning anything on. We are having brownouts about every 20 minutes....something about 107 deg heat and everybody's A/C going on ..been happening all week in the 4-7pm time slot. Glad I have our PCs and HD display on an UPS and other 'tronics on Panamax protectors.

I held in SAT until it started flashing....pressed '1' which was the remote address indicated, and then Record. nothing! :mad:

Try it again, and this time press "record" twice. That worked for me.

I concur!! :thumbsup: And if not,try changing it to 3 or something to make sure you are getting it done right.
