I can't believe this, it has been days since I submitted a post for some help, and no one can send info my way. It is an 2.8GHz P4 w/HT proc. I believe it has PCI x16 slots. Can anyone help?????????

In a word no, not enough information, add in motherboard information and now we can probably help you. All you told us is that your motherboard supports intel processors and at a guess socket 478. And beyond that very little.

Try freeware applications like everest 2.2 or PC wizard 2009, and all kinds of information about your hardware will become accessible.
