G10 Panny-Add Soundbar??? not variable...

when we hooked up my bose speakers to the panny the problem was we couldnt operate the volume with the Direct TV remote because the input isnt variable?

outside speakers are useless to me if i cant operate them with the dtv remote...
sound/bass on G10 is subpar, pic great...

I know my S/A cable box lets me choose fixed or variable output. Does the G10 allow this because you could use the r/l audio output then.

The Analog and Optical Audio Outputs on the Panasonics are Fixed only. Not Variable. They haven't had Variable Output for the past 5 years or so.

Any Soundbar you use will have to have it's own remote with volume control. Some do, some don't.

I don't think you'll be able to get a stock DirecTV remote to operate the volume on a Soundbar.

I nice learning remote like the MX-500 that i use would be great for this type of setup. It controls every function of all eight of my various A/V pieces.
