Telus HD

Does anyone know how I can find out when fiber optics will be coming to my area?

I live in westside Vancouver, a well populated area and I still can't get HD programming with my Telus TV because they haven't done any fiber optics upgrades here yet. A freind that lives on the east side has had Telus HD for a while now.

When I had this Telus service hooked up I was told by the tech that it should be soon but he couldn't be more specific than that.
That was back around around february and it's now august???

I called Telus to ask them when I can expect to have HD service and they couldn't tell me anything. I asked if they were even working on it and I got the same response :confused: They told me that they don't have any information on what is being done :confused:
I said "but I want HDTV, what are you going to do about it?"
Telus guy said "don't know" :confused:
Maybe he was just a disgruntled employee.

Why aren't the upgrades being done? Who's doing them? Is it a political thing? If so, then it would make sense.

How does that work?

It works just like Bell TV, seeing as they are using all of Bell's sats etc to provide the service to the West of Canada.
