Vizio VBR 100 Blu-Ray

I thought that it was to be selling in Walmart sometime in July. Anyone seen one yet?

Yes, I saw one yesterday in the Wal-Mart in Jacksonville, AR or in North Little Rock, AR. I stopped at both when I was driving my girlfriend and her daughter around. It was right next to the $98 Magnavox player. I don't recall the price but something under $200, maybe about $180. The same Wal-Mart also had Sony, Philips and Panasonic players so there was a really good selection. I think both the Sony BDP-S350 and BDP-S360 were there and a customer was discussing purchasing the BDP-S350 ignoring the others. I thought about asking what his reason was but decided against it.

Upconversion will likely be the weakest point...most all BD players now look quite stellar. It might certainly be a good entry into Blue-Ray which may attract greater numbers of less enlightened consumers.
