Coonecting Apple Ipod to Internet

Well now that I got my daughter a new laptop for her birthday the other day she has requested a new MP3 player for Christmas.

I really like the way the Apple ipod's look & I am mainly looking at the Apple iPod Touch 8GB as I have read lots of great reviews for these. Plus I know she would love to have one.

Now this may be a dumb question but I am naive to this stuff...If I get her the iPod I have mentioned it talks about how you can find music videos on Youtube, find music at iTunes, ect. So ifI bought her this iPod will it work using our roadrunner connection at home OR do you have to pay a monthly fee for their internet service?
Because I don't want to shell out the cash these cost & then be stuck with a monthly bill. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you & have a nice day :hithere:

The iPod Touch had WiFi built-in. Won't cost you anything at home (obviously), but some wifi spots do charge a fee.

Oh ok, so it is no different than using a laptop as it already has wifi built in I guess.
I guess I was mixed up because I see the charge they have for the apple iPhone service & I wasn't sure they would let her browse the internet for free on the iPod Touch as I thought there might be a fee for web browsing like phones charge.

Since you are coonecting it as the title states does that mean a raccoon is involved?

If it has wireless ,then its good,you just need to download things and be in an zone with wireless :)

Thanks, but I got it all figured out now. I think I use it more than my daughter does & it was bought for her:D She listens to music on it all the time but I like to click on the different apps & I also am setting up my fantasy football draft cheat sheet on it....this thing is awesome.
