Question about Panasonic DMP-BD80

So the BD80 has a USB jack which supports Divx and Xvid video which the BD60 does not. What exactly does this mean?

Will video played through the USB slot be upscaled as well?

How about the SC card slot?

I have the panasonic 80 player. I do not use the USB. I don't have an answer. I do use the SD card for it.
