no audio on lcd from pc

hi im new here i found this site becouse i recently bought samsung lcd 37 inch full hd and for that purpose i upgraded my pc with latest nvidia n 250 gts 1 g ddr 3 video card and c2 duo procesor , and i bought hdmi cable but when i conected there is cristal clear picture with max res of 1980 x 1080 but there is no sound please help so that my investment wont go invain becouse in my country is realy hard to get theese with our sallary thanks in advance

Many, if not most, computers will not output audio through the HDMI port since video cards do not have sound capabilities. Some video cards will have the ability to jumper from the spdif connector on the PC's sound card and others don't. Your best bet will be to use a stereo audio cable from your sound card to the monitor. Hopefully your monitor has audio input connections for the HDMI port. Most do.

thanks for answering but i dont believe that my video card which is latest of nvidia with true hd dont send sound on the cable it has 2 dvi conections on her (i m using nvidia n 250 gts 1 g dd3 ) if you have time please check that this video card have option for sound becouse this is becoming very frustrating i dont know what to do

This is a VIDEO card ! It does NOT carry audio. It has DVI connectors . DVI carries VIDEO only. DVI DOES NOT carry audio. Even if you use adaptors for HDMI, there is NO audio coming from the DVI ports. Do as rbinck suggested and run your cables from your AUDIO card. :banghead:

Amazon has some cheap ones if you don't need it immediately.
