Bioshock 2 Delayed until Fiscal 2010.

Booooo! Those of you (inc me) looking forward to playing Bioshock 2 in October are in for some bad news as Take 2 have announced that the game requires additional development time and will now ship in "Fiscal Year 2010" so will likely now miss Q4.

I'd rather they spent an extra 3 months properly finishing it than releasing an unfinished product and spending the successive months debugging and patching the game until it was fixed though.

Red Dead Redemption and Mafia II also slipped into "Fiscal Year 2010" so Take 2's 2009 isn't looking so rosey anymore, especially with Chinatown Wars currently not performing as well as expected on DS.

Ken Levine said it sucked and they had to start over.

actually im glad its delayed. I want this game to come out around April 2010. i hate it when all these great games come out within 3 months and then there is 9 months of Meh games.

That only happens on Xbox 360 mate. There's plenty of good stuff in Q1-2 on other consoles :p

Killzone 2, Infamous, Little King's Story, House of the Dead: Overkill and Mad World just being a couple of em this yaer.

UPDATE:

Take2 have now confirmed Q1-Q2 2010 release dates for Bioshock 2, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption and Mafia 2. I think thats a few games knocked off peoples Q4 09 want lists.

Ya that sucks that it got delayed, Its good to see its not being rushed though.
Just gives more game time for Modern Warfare 2 :)
