Federer Passes Woods in Number of Majors

Well, Tiger started the year leading Federer 14 to 13 in majors but while Federer has won two majors this year, Woods has won none.

So Federer now has a 15 to 14 lead over Tiger.

So Tiger needs to win at least one of the two remaining majors just to catch Federer's current total.

I know these two guys are in competition with each other and no doubt Federer will chide Tiger when the two see each other again.

But Federer is now getting a little older plus he has a real challenger in Nadal. So looks like Roger better strike while the iron is hot as he may not win many more.

Tiger is at a prime age in golf to play his best but will he as so far this year he has underperformed according to the experts who picked him to win the Masters and the US Open.

IMHO there is no comparison. One is a sport: tennis, the other is just a hobby, a well paid one of course... More importantly, by winning wimbledon, federer has surpassed sampras with the most grand slam wins.

Agreed. Then again, I'd say Federer would need to get 2 more Wimbledon wins to actually beat Sampras in the whole "who has more wins".
