Can I block PPV?whatamess 05-29-2009, 09:19 AM Elderly parents accidentally ordering PPV movies...is there a way to block/lock the receiver where this cannot happen? Thanks! garys 05-29-2009, 10:13 AM On newer receivers, there must be a phone or eithernet connection to order. You can also lock the receiver to not only lock out the ppv's, but to also remove them from being visible in the guide as well so that if the person pushes the channel number for a ppv channel, the receiver skips over it and goes to the next available channel. LORETTA 05-29-2009, 10:43 AM Just add a password to the PPV channels, or change the dollar amount to zero which will not allow any orders over that amount. 18 is # 1 06-05-2009, 03:45 PM It's easier just to lock the channels. In fact, if you haven't locked out the channels you never watch and duplicates, you're spending WAY too much time going through the guide. | |
