First of all, it would be nice if you would post the thread in one section of the forum instead of two.
Second, since you are a corporate videographer and editor, make sure that you atleast have a "corporate" style of english. I found it hard to understand your question.
Third, time to answer your question
Question: Can you watch what you have filmed on an HD camera on a regular vhs or so?
Answer: The technical answer would be yes, but you cant view it in high definition. One reason is that regular vhs is analog and HD is digital. Another is that VHS holds a resolution much lesser than a DVD. I Think vhs is 320x240 while high def is at 1280x720 or 1920x1080 (or something close to that).
I also got into the video editing business. However, i am just the editor, but i have seen the cameras that the company i am working for uses. The one i saw is a panasonic 3ccd camera. I heard it was $7,000. And since you use Final Cut Pro HD, i am assuming you have an apple power mac g5. Anyways, it is possible to transfer from HD to VHS, however, the quality will be much worse and i think it is more complicated to do this using a mac (unless you will just transfer an unedited version).

ok so what are your opinions on the professional look and feel on the new jvc hd100u... it looks so small compared to the other camera i was planning on getting before the new hd one came out...
they cost about the same... what is going to give me a beter picture and be a better professional camera for my business..

in my opinion, its a nice camera, but the it has a poor location for an lcd view finder, especially if you will use it on your shoulder
however, i think that the sony hd is better:

it has 1080i recording and playback. the lcd is right in front of you when you use it on your shoulder, however, it doesnt have xlr input which is a major downside if you will work on commercials. and it doesnt have a 24p setting. however, it is $2000 cheaper and i think it is worth a look.
