When the new HD channels were added today, I received all but Speed and FX. I called Dish customer support and was told repeatedly that FX and Speed were not available on Dish at this time. I told the CSR three times that my neighbors are receiving both FX and Speed in HD as of this morning. She said, "Let me check. Oh yes, they are available as of today starting at 5 o'clock eastern time." I asked why I wasn't receiving them and my neighbors do. She said "Sometimes it takes several days and you might receive it by tomorrow. I'm glad I could help you this evening, is there anything else I can help you with?" :eyecrazy Glad she could help me?!

CSR's are the last people to know anything, they will be given the update tomorrow. You should have either tried for a supervisor hoping they would have been informed or go through tech services and ask for a rehit on your receiver.

I don't waste my time calling the 800 number. I e-chat with them. In this case, I got all but FX HD, and so I set up an e-chat and I had FX HD within 60 seconds. :)

My new HD channels didn't come up and I did the DISH web site tech support chat deal. I took about three minutes and they had me up and running. Once I found out you can get tech support using the chat feature I never called DISH again. My customer satisfaction went from completely disappointing to completely happy.

The guy on e-chat said he'd just sent the signal and that I should wait two to three minutes. I closed my guide and responded back to him. Then I opened the guide and the once red FX HD was now available. I assigned it to my personal list and selected the channel which was now HD.
It was no more than 60 seconds. So go have your own dream, Jerk.
