Do what everyone else is doing, call the FCC. It won't fix your reception, but you can unload your frustration.

I'd order a tall tower and a big antenna. http://www.texastowers.com/rohn_.htm

The point being, and I do not think the FCC has properly stressed it, many people will wake up on 6/13/09 with television reception.

But those that bought and tried that converter box or went with a new HD set prior to 2/17/09 will have the best of all worlds, being able to get both analog and digital channels. And with that forewarning, they can also learn what digital channels they will get on 6/13/09. At that is what I think the FCC has done a poor job of stressing. And the smart folks are those that do use the four month warning to upgrade antenna systems if the loss of channels is going to be a serious loss for them.

I am lucky that I only had to spend $45.00 on antenna type upgrades, but at least I am prepared, and will wake up on 6/13/09 with even more digital channels than I had before.

For those that have not followed the small engine posts, April 17 is the day in which some of his channels cease broadcasting in analog. Some television stations cut off analog access on 2/17/09 even though the FCC extended the deadline, in the small engine case, that doomsday is 4/17/09 for two Shreveport channels, and unless the FCC again extends, OTA analog will vanish nationwide on 6/19/09.

Oh OK, I missed that, The OP had me checking the date thinking I missed a couple of day's. It wouldn't be the first time......:o

I see I blew it too, as the nationwide scheduled date is actually 6/13/09
instead of my typo of 6/17/09.

I'm not sure if the FCC can delay the shut down of the analog signals any longer than 6/13/09. What I was told and also read on the Internet, is that those analog frequencies have already been purchased by Cell phone companies and other Transmitting companies, and those companies are biting there upper lip and not throwing a fit over the delays. To put it lay-mans terms...Its like paying for a house..but you cant move into it.. If I was those companies I would be a little :( to.
