New Smart Card

I got a yellow Card in the mail today. The letter said my old blue card would not work in a few days. Anyone else? Any one know why the change?

Happened before with my 510 receiver. Probably just a security or tech update.

:confused: I guess that can't be done for the 811 receiver since the card is built in the machine and there's no way to get it out unless you're a technician.
I was told by Dish advance tech that my card upgrade will be done electronically from Dish headquarters to my home.

They are switching the stream from nagra 1 to nagra 2. The switch out is for security reasons. Direct TV did theres last year. The 811 will not need a new card.
