I bought an RCA Scenium 34" HDTV less than 6 years ago (which has a built-in DVD player -- Model # D34W135D). Several years ago it began losing its picture momentarily (going to blue screen), while emitting a popping, static discharge sound. It got progressively worse over the years, and now, when I first turn it on, it may take several minutes before a picture comes on. It only does this when in "TV" mode -- not DVD, which always works fine. I inquired about replacing the tuner, and learned they aren't even available now. But I'm not even sure it's a tuner problem. Besides, I've switched to digital cable, which means I won't be using the TV's tuner anyway (other than having it set on channel 3). Assuming I can't get a replacement part (tuner or something else), can I bypass the problem by somehow running the cable signal into the TV via an auxiliary input?
