I have a room that is approximately 12' x 10' and I am looking to add an HD TV. I would watching it from approximately 4 - 5 ft away and I am looking at 2 TVs.

I would like to spend as little as possible. What exactly is the difference b/w these 2 TVs? I know that the $600 one is widescreen and has a built in HD Tuner but is that something I would need or even want? I know that widescreen is nice but does it justify the $200?

Also, would the cheaper of the 2 look as good? Especially when watching a dvd, Digital Cable in HD, or perhaps playing an XBOX 360 or a PS3?

Thanks in advance.

Probably just as good, they're both CRTs...aspect ratio (widescreen vs fullscreen) would be the only difference.

Does the Widescreen one have more inputs or different types of inputs?

You should go widescreen, don't follow the old obsolete analog standard.

From 4 - 5' you should be looking at 34" widescreens...

I think it's implied that he's on a budget, so going up 8" is going to tack quite a bit on the price.

Even with that said, I do recommend you look at 30" models. You can find a Toshiba 30HF85 for around $700, or a little more than the 26" Samsung. I have it, and it's a pretty good set.
