Ok my problems with HD continue...... I just got an 360 HD AO from ebay brand new. I took it out hooked it up and did the install disk. It powered up and the elite recongnizes the drive but when i try to use it does not work. I can open it and close it but when I put a disk in it does not read it ( SD or HD ). Is there anything I can do about this. It does not show error it just says open if i press the button it says close thats it. After my A2 not reading SD's this just tells me I might as well go Blue. ahhhhhh!!!!!!
The sad thing is that many people are selling broken drives/players on eBay, as a way to get some money and also get rid of a broken device.
I would demand my money back and just buy another one.

I bought this because it was new in the box. He did not test it and that was my mistake. But he said I can return it. So i am sending it back today. So should I just buy another one or should I get a different player? I have an 360 elite and it does upconversion but according to many its not that good. I will be getting a PS3 probably in May or when the price drops. My A2 plays HD's great but no SD play. I have a huge DVD collection and want to watch them in as close to HD as possible. What would yall suggest? Get another A2 that does play SD, maybe upgrade to A20, buy upconversion dvd player, or get a Blueray player that does upconversion? by the way which player upconverts the best? thanks

I would return it and get a refund or cancel your PP/CC transaction. Not sure how much you payed for it but Fry's is still selling the HD DVD AO with KK and season 1 of Battle Star Gallactica for only $39.:banana: I think I may pick 1 up for a backup. I already have both KK and BSG or I woulda did it a long time ago..
You can also just wait until you get your PS3 for SD upconversion.
