I've just purchased a Panny 50PZ850U which has a RJ-45 jack. I'd like to hook it up to my home wireless network but not sure how. Can someone please give me some advice on how best to do this?
Thanks.

I believe you will need one of these wireless adapters like this. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8682366&type=product&id=1197679244403 kegobeer 01-24-2009, 03:22 PM You can either run cable to your wireless router (there are ports on the back of the router), or you can buy a wireless gaming adapter like this one: http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DWL-G820-Wireless-Adapter-802-11g/dp/B0002MH3HE There are other makes and models of the wireless adapter, so be sure to read reviews and see what other people use. puffdaddy 01-24-2009, 05:21 PM Thanks so much for the info. I'm off to Best Buy. puffdaddy 01-31-2009, 03:20 PM Thanks for the info I went out and bought a Linksys wireless game adapter, configured it and hooked up to my TV. When I run the test it says it can't get a IP address and to check my wireless router. I've looked at my DHCP client list on my router but don't see the adapter. The TV setting for IP assignment is automatic. Should I try to set it to manual and input a IP address from the DHCP table? I would love to get this working so that I can download any fireware/software updates for the TV. Which model did you buy? puffdaddy 01-31-2009, 04:02 PM 50pz850u erict 01-31-2009, 05:42 PM 50pz850u You might have to enter your security settings for the router to recognize it. kegobeer 02-01-2009, 09:21 AM 50pz850u Not the TV model, the wireless adapter model. puffdaddy 02-01-2009, 09:20 PM Sorry about that. I bought a Linksys WGA54G adapter. I've configured it to my current wireless router including the same security setting..WPA Personal with TIPK key. When I kept failing to make a connection on the TV is reset the security on the adapter to none. Strangely though...when I look at the wireless networks from my laptop I see this adapter broadcasting under a different name than the router. I have since disconnected it fearing outside hacking. I've rechecked by router DHCP client list and it is no where to be found. I've configured the network setup for manual since the automatic didn't work...."failed to be assigned an IP address". I've since reconfigured the adapter to have a DHCP address and assigned it one. When I reconfigured the network setup on the TV to use the adapter IP as the gateway it said I succeeded but, when trying to update the software I get the "failed to connect to the server" message. This also happens when connecting to VieraCast. Some how I think my TV setup is wrong but don't know what to do. I'm open for suggestions. Thanks. kegobeer 02-02-2009, 05:50 PM Sorry about that.
