Starchoice on-screen guide question

Hi all,

Brand new to HD (yes, I went boxing day shopping!)

Starchoice installed yesterday. First time I've ever had more than 6 channels (antenna on the roof previously).

So here's the question - the guide shows everything offered, most of which I haven't subscribed to. Can I change my options to have it only show programs I can actually watch?

Reading the manual, I could set parental locks on all the channels I don't get, but this seems incredibly time consuming, hopefully there's an easier way?

Thanks experienced members for your input!

Welcome to HDTV and StarChoice! I feel your pain with the program guide on SC. There might be a better way of removing unsubscribed channels from the guide but I haven't found it.

I did exactly as you described by using the parental control to remove the unwanted channels from the guide. Took me 30 minutes or so, but got it done.

It would be nice if the program guide had an "subscribed" listing only as opposed to the current "all" that SC uses.

I will say that is about the only complaint that I have with SC. I am completely satisfied with SC as my service provider.

The only down side, is if they add something new, that won't show in your favourites list.
