Lost even transponders with BEV

I live in the north, in a fly-in only, isolated community. About 2-3 weeks ago I lost about half of my Bell channels. Thinking it was the weather at the time, I just let it go. I ran checkswitch a few times, getting the following error : "missing port 1b 91 even". Well, the last few days we haven't had a cloud in the sky. I risked my life getting up on the snow- and ice-covered roof. Thinking it was the lnb, I swapped it out for a new one. Ran checkswitch - same issue. I changed the cable - same issue. I have a second dish 6 ft higher (share it with my neighbour as I live in a duplex). That has not lost the signal at all. There are no obstructions for my lower dish. Seeing as my neighbour shares the higher dish, I can only run one cable from it, so it still does not solve the problem with my 9242 as I need two feeds. The only resolution I can think of is to install a new dish. I really don't want to as the normal windchill in this area is about -35 degrees.

I had the same problem with my SC dish. It was mounted low on my roof and nearly touches the roof and when the weather shifts, sometimes I lose one satellite completely and have no HD channels. Try getting the signal back up and see if it holds out. Not sure but maybe BEV has 2 satellites like SC and you just lost the signal on the one satellite. You can run a system check on your remote to see the signal strength.

I haven't lost any of my HD channels, just even transponders on 91. I unhooked the 91 feeds and plugged them into my 3100. I'm reading 87% on one feed, and 0% on the other. Obviously there's the problem. But it's not the lnb. The connectors are new, type f compression.
Could it be the power inserter, even if all my 82 and my odd 91 channels work? I don think it's the cable, because I have a 3100 hooked to the same lnb and the evens are gone on that too. The y doesn't appear to be damaged or moved. If I had lost some of my HD channels I would have thought maybe the dish moved in the wind, but they're all fine. It just strikes me as odd.

Have you tried the 10 sec reset on your receiver? When all else fails, I hold the on/off button on my receiver for about 10 secs and then it goes through all it's own checks and then in a few minutes things work again. I used to have Bell, but the smart card thing was an annoyance so I switched to StarChoice as the updates are just downloaded and no smart card. If that does not work, then the tech guys at Bell should be available to figure it out for you and make sure with them it is not "their" system that is playing up. With their "smart cards" many things can go wrong and do on a constant basis.

Possibly the switch itself.

I tried the reset. Does not help.

I don't think its the switch. I wired the feeds directly to a spare 3100. I get 87% on one feed, 0% on the other.

My mom lost her 91 on her 6100 I bought her a reciever and put up a dish and hooked it up for her using my contract. Ours are fine but I did lose 91 2 days ago but it is back and fine now. I think it is something on Bells end of things.
