I saw this TV a while back but just wondering when something bigger was getting released? I like the slim fit.

I know LG is coming out with something similar also.

Anyoen know when the 34" model is being released? Any idea of the price?

TIA

Not a clue...

There was an interesting article in Scientific American discussing the limitations of the technology last month...

I did a lot of searching with various keywords on a couple different sites and could only come up with these three, but they don't answer your question.

Philips (http://news.com.com/LG.Philips+Displays+ups+production+of+slim+CRTs/2100-1047_3-5481746.html )

Slimmer (http://news.com.com/Slimmer+tube+TVs+to+challenge+flat+panels/2100-1041_3-5458670.html)

Samsung (http://www.samsung.com/PressCenter/PressRelease/PressRelease.asp?seq=20050105_0000089663)
Perhaps since there doesn't seem to be any info, maybe it's a long way off. The largest size mentioned was 32", which historically has been used only for 4:3 CRT sets (LCD's often come in 32" W/S). But I can't imagine they would invest heavily in this technology and then produce sets with soon to be outdated screen ratios.
