I have recently decided to buy a hd dvd drive for my Xbox360. As this format is dead, I am wondering the best place to get hd dvd's for a good price? Are there any retail stores I can walk in and still pick up a disc or two. What are the best deals online. I was considering maybe ebay too. Let me know any good sources.

I too just got into HD DVD and got a mint condition HD-A3 for $45 shipped on eBay.The above mentioned are good. But you can still find some good deals on eBay, and if you are lucky on Craigslist. I have just purchased a few more from inetvideo, but have not received them yet. The rest I have gotten off eBay (sealed and used). Also, check out the classifieds of this forum.
Oh and amazon...although I have never gotten anything from them...

Well following up on your tips the pricing of hd dvd is a little more than I expected. One site had great prices of 3.99 on allot of good titles. However reading on the price slowly creeped up to 7.99 on some and even higher. I don't see any hd dvd as worth more than 10.00 at this point. I would really like to pay less than $5.00 a title, for any title. I guess I'll have to wait a while longer for the bottom to drop out of them. Judging by the prices online, retailers are still trying to get a profit out of many titles, and not simply unloading them even steven. Which makes sense as I am sure there are still many like me still supporting hd dvd although knowing it is dead as a doornail. I just find it messed up that even if I do get a great deal like 5 hd dvd's at 4.00 each (20.00) I still have to pay another $13.00 to ship them! That makes them more like 7.00 a piece. not so much a deal. Your best bet is to order allot to save shipping on allot of smaller orders. Anyways thanks I think you all gave plenty of sources!

Harris Teeter a grocery store around where I live was actually selling them in the ball park of like $3.99 a piece. But they were only available IN store, and not online.

It's all supply and demand, of course, and Universal titles are heavy on the supply side. Expect low prices for those. To a lesser extent the same goes for Paramount. However you're not going to see dollar store prices for WB anytime soon, if ever. There seems to be fewer of those available, especially the 2008 releases. So keep studios in mind when gauging the price you should be paying. As for the rest of the US titles and imports, it's a mixed bag, but nothing compares to the glut of Universal discs out there.
