Some Help Needed forHD A-20

I bought an a20 for my bedroom I tried to connect to 32"sony wega crt through componet red bl gr /white red but I dont get a picture on TV also tried with HD 30 from livn rm and that didnt work either is this TV not capable of this hookup- sony kv32fs100

That is not an HDTV and as far as I know doesn't accept an HD signal. Set the resolution to 480i or 480p and see which you prefer. I believe there is a resolution button on the remote, hit that until you see a picture.

Chances are that this CRT display will not even handle 480p either despite having component inputs, so it will likely have to be set for 480i output from the player to get a picture. ;)

Without the model number of the display, we can only guess about what resolutions it can handle.

Without the model number of the display, we can only guess about what resolutions it can handle.Thanks for the help I put this out there in another post and got the same answer from other members also,I will set the output on the A-20 and see where that gets me maybe the player seems like overkill for this TV.but I should benefit greatly when I upgrade to a flat panel in this room then I will get all the A-20 has to offer...

I didnt have to move player I had an s video cable I tried that and got a picture so I went in to menu made output change and bang the componet cables worked not close to HD but really clear and player works as it should Thanks friends.set to 420 i..... GO EAGLES.........

So your component input was limited to 480i not 480p like I suspected?
