I have signed up for DishNet, installed by DishNet tech, and have the America's Top 250, Gold/Platinum HD, HBO, Starz!, Showtime, Cinemax, and my locals. I have 4 receivers, (2) ViP211 and (2) ViP612 DVR. All my TVs are HD. My question is on the installation of 2 dishes, one dish is pointed at 110', 119', and 129' and the ViP211s are connected to this dish, a 1000.2, and the other is pointed at 77', 72', and 61.5', a 1000.4, which are connected to the ViP612s. The only thing I find different between this East/West setup is that I don't get my locals in HD on the ViP211s, and why can't you use the 1000.4 to feed the 4 receivers? Is this not what the DPP44 Switch is for? Any info will be extremely helpful, I have been thinking about this for weeks and don't understand why I think my setup is weird.

This sounds very wrong. You are decribing a Dish 1000.2 plus a 1000.4 installation. It should be one or the other. Also, whatever dish you get should work all of the ViP model receivers you mention.
What DMA (city area) are you in. Then I can answer the question about which dish you should get better. Are you a brand new customer? You should be able to get HBO and Starz for free for 3 months. Cinemax for 1 penny for a year.
If you don't get at least this, PM me and we can talk some more about this and more discounts.

Thanks for the reply Yes616, I live in the Richmond, VA DMA, and I am a new customer, have had DishNet for about 3 weeks now. I do have the promo pack they offer for the premium channels, that was a selling point to me to finally get it, and Comcast not offering HD in my area helped to. I took pic of my setup, didn't want to think I was pulling your leg, as you can see, I have 2 dishes!

A dpp44 will not work with the 1000.4 lnb, and since one of the orbitals (the 72.7, I think) is FSS and not DBS, DP duals or singles cannot be used with the 1000.4 dish. What he should have done was install a 1000.2 dish with three DP duals for the 110, 119, and 129, and a 500 wing dish to hit the 61.5 for HD locals (assuming your locals come on the 61.5) and used a dpp44.

According to all the information I have at my disposal, you should be able to use a DPP44 switch with a DISH 1000.4.
If you send me an email with DPP44 switch in the header I will send you a PDF file with this information.
Hope this helps.

D1000.4 manual tells how to connect D1000.4 to DPP44, so I guess it will work.

Dish says they are compatable, but they don't work together for the same reason the 1000.2lnb and dpp44 won't work: the lnb will burn up after about a month, requiring replacement. I don't know why dish says they will work, but I know from first hand experience that they will not for any length of time.

If you are referring to the Satelite dish has at the 105, it is incorrect. There hasn't been any programming on the 105 for a while because the system to keep in in Geosync orbit needs repair, thus requiring manual movement daily. If you aren't refering that same satelite, then disregard.
