HD - A30 Cannot read Update Disc 4.0

OK, I am reluctant to load any Updates, have 2.0/1.1 on HD DVD player to date, because the last one I tried locked up the player and I had to return it.

Today I tried to load the Disc 4.0 update, that Toshiba sent me, and the player says it can not read the disc because it is not DVD Format. Should I load the Update Disc 3.0 first that I have or just try to DL from the Site. :(

If the update disc came from Toshiba call them for one that is not defective.

I would get a new disc from them even if you do not intend to update it unless a disc has a problem and that is what I suggest also. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

FYI. The latest update includes all prior updates, so there is no need to update the prior version first.

thanks for the answer. I downloaded Update 4 last night and will probably just use that instead of waiting for Toshiba to send out one...
