Entry level... I don't have much to spare

I want a HDTV that isn't likely to break right away or have display glitches, between around $300-$600, true hdtv, 27 to 30 inches.

I haven't really had much luck. Most of the ones I find have bad reviews. Are there any that stand out in your minds?

Is THIS any good?

My main reason for getting a HDTV is NOT for television programming. I want it for the next gen gaming consoles.

What about these?

Of these 3, go with the Toshiba. It's the only one that is WIDEscreen. The other 2 are 4:3 as are all 27" CRT's. Widescreens only come in 26, 30, 34 for DV CRT's. If next gen games are going to be widescreen, get a set to match. Good Luck!

You want "True HDTV", which can be either 720p/60 or 1080i/30. Games are FAR better on the progressive scan display, with twice the framerate. Consider some of the direct view LCDs... widescreen of course.

Here's a link to a 26" for $650...

But it's 26" =(

Edit: Plus, i've never heard of the brand. Do you have any reviews for it?
