Had an install window between 12-5pm central time. Install guy showed up at about 2:30pm, was done with installation by 5pm. He seemed to be very knowledgeable with the installation process. The only thing that was a problem is because we had two VIP 612s the two individual remote controls interfered with each other. I am using the harmony 880 remotes as a quick fix. They are sending out chips to put into the dish network remotes in order to fix the interference problem, so those should be here by Thursday-Friday next week hopefully. So we'll see about that. When the tech guy was calling for activation we were talking about DVR boxes and how crappy Comcast was and mentioned that there is a ViP822 on the horizon, supposedly its 3 times the storage capacity as the ViP722. According to him they litterally went through a meeting on this within the last week and sounds like it maybe available sometime early next year. Overall I'd give the service quality a B+ to an A-. The sales rep misspelled our last name, a completely wrong number but when I contacted the service rep about the remote issue fixed that without a problem as well as getting subscription services corrected.

All the tech would have had to do was re address one of the remotes, problem solved. Never heard of a chip for that. Not heard of the 822 either but that doesn't mean it's not true.

New 722k coming out in about a month same HDD.
722s also called 922 is a 722 with slingbox capabilities, same HDD next year.
These are the only two anyone has reported.
Sounds like the tech heard more than was said.
